An Understated Dominance Chapter 2231 by Marina Vittori

As dusk fell, Dustin stood before the alchemy furnace in the tavern’s kitchen. With mystical pure energy, he meticulously controlled the fire’s temperature.

Grace worked efficiently and gathered all the precious herbs within just an hour. She even arranged for a top- quality alchemy furnace to be delivered.

Following ancient methods, he began crafting the tablet to dispel Alicia’s witchcraft.

Witchcraft was similar to parasitic poison, but it was even more mysterious and unpredictable.

Fortunately, Dustin had considerable knowledge of witchcraft and an extensive understanding of secret techniques. So, concocting the antidote presented no challenge for him.

Suddenly, Grace entered the kitchen and said solemnly, “We have a crisis. I’ve received word that Alicia’s condition has suddenly worsened, and she’s on the brink of death. We must leave now.”

“Her condition has worsened? How did this happen?” He frowned and continued, “I’d already contained the voodoo in Alicia’s body with the ethereal resurgence technique.

“As long as they didn’t remove the needles, a couple more days would’ve been fine. How come her condition deteriorated in just a few hours?”

Grace quickly explained, “Someone took matters into their own hands and brought in Kenan Quake, a skilled doctor from the martial world.

“Without knowing the whole situation, he removed the silver needles and caused Alicia’s condition to worsen.

“He tried everything, but nothing worked. That’s why Aurora called me just now and urged us to rush over and save Alicia.”

“I told them not to remove the needles. Why wouldn’t they listen? It’s just making things worse!” Dustin rubbed his temples.

He had initially intended to craft the tablet and gradually dispel the voodoo using his mystical pure energy. However, this complication significantly complicated the task.

She frowned. “This isn’t the time to dwell on that. You need to come with me right away and do everything you can to save Alicia.”

“Give me a few more minutes to finish crafting these tablets.” He didn’t budge.

Dealing with Voodoo was difficult. Even if he went there without the tablet, there was little he could do.

Grace, though anxious, could only wait by his side. All she could do now was hope that Kenan would do something to prolong Alicia’s life.

In a surge of urgency, Dustin channeled his mystical energy with full intensity. The flame beneath the alchemy furnace burst into life instantly, and the surrounding temperature spiked rapidly.

Even Grace, standing nearby, felt parched and flushed from the intense heat.

The flames blazed with such ferocity that the alchemy furnace began to vibrate and emit a loud hum. Ordinarily, an alchemist would immediately lower the heat to prevent an explosion, but Dustin couldn’t afford to do so at that moment.

Time was pressing. He needed to raise the temperature to expedite the tablet’s crafting, even if it meant risking an explosion.

Five minutes later, cracks began to appear on the furnace’s surface, signaling its approaching limit. The mystical flames, fueled by pure energy, burned intensely hot. It pushed the high -quality furnace to its limits.

Grace’s expression changed to concern as she hurriedly warned him, “Dustin! The furnace is about to explode.”

Without uttering a single word, Dustin concentrated on channeling his mystical pure energy. The flames beneath the furnace roared with undiminished intensity.

Eventually, the trembling alchemy furnace reached its limit and erupted with a resounding bang. Shards scattered in all directions, and dust clouded the air.

At the epicenter of the explosion, Dustin’s body trembled as his energy armor burst forth and shielded him from the flying debris.

Then, something astonishing happened that left Grace speechless.

Despite the explosion, Dustin pressed on. He used his mystical pure energy to conjure a new, translucent alchemy furnace seemingly out of thin air.

This furnace of true energy shimmered and subtly shifted color when touched by the flames.

As Grace watched closely, she noticed an irregular purple tablet floating within the furnace. The remaining medicinal liquid swiftly gathered and filled the tablet.

Eventually, the purple tablet finally took shape.

“It’s done!” Dustin’s eyes lit up.

With a swift motion, he stretched his arm inside the furnace of true energy and grabbed the tablet. The furnace dissipated into a gentle breeze, and the flames beneath it vanished instantly.

He let out a long breath, and his body soaked in sweat.

It had been exhausting to channel his true energy to sustain the flame. He also had to prevent the catastrophe of the furnace exploding and ruining the tablet.

Ultimately, he had to summon every ounce of his true energy to conjure an alchemy furnace from nothing, a feat that drained most of his energy.

His success was owed to his strong cultivation foundation. Fortunately, the tablet was successfully crafted, and all his hard work paid off.

“Hurry! We need to save Alicia now!”

Without stopping to rest, Dustin pocketed the tablet and hurried off with Grace to the Celestial Alliance’s Lakeshore Villa.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
