“Let me correct you,” Dustin said.
As his hand slowly tightened into a fist, a white longsword formed from his true energy. “In Dragonmarsh, there is no ‘God. ‘We only have the Lord of the Dead.”
The moment the words left his mouth, a tempest of sword aura exploded outward. Within a radius of several dozen yards, the winds howled, sand and stones were sent flying, and the waves along the shore grew even more violent.
“Such overwhelming pressure. That sword aura is insane. Is this Logan’s actual strength?”
Feeling the surge of energy, Warrick and the others couldn’t help but turn pale. It was then they realized that Dustin hadn’t been fighting seriously before.
Or perhaps, with their strength, they hadn’t even earned the right to make him fight for real. They figured only someone of Poseidon’s caliber could force Dustin to go all out.
“Interesting… truly fascinating.” Poseidon suddenly laughed. “I thought you were just a pup, but it turns out you’re a hungry wolf. Now, this is starting to get interesting.”
As he spoke, Poseidon suddenly spun his trident. Blue energy waves erupted from it and filled the air with an overwhelming crushing force.
“Come on, kid. Show me what you’ve got.”
Hovering in the air, Poseidon’s momentum radiated with such overwhelming energy as if he were a god among mortals.
“As you wish,” Dustin said.
His eyes hardened as he planted his foot and charged toward Poseidon like a streak of white lightning.
His longsword surged with sword aura. It cut through the air with a brilliant white trail, like a comet trailing a fiery tail, as he brought it down in a powerful strike toward Poseidon.
“Bring it on!” Poseidon shouted.
He wasn’t to be outdone and swung his trident forward with force. The blue energy waves exploded outward and crashed toward Dustin like a tidal wave.
A deafening roar erupted when the sword aura collided with the waves.
It was like thunder crashing in their ears, so loud that Warrick and the others felt their ears buzz and teetered on the edge of deafness.
The sword aura sliced through the waves like a sharp blade, but the waves were relentless and continued to surge toward Dustin endlessly.
Dustin twisted midair. His longsword spun as it cut through the oncoming waves, and each slash released a flurry of radiant sword blossoms. Each blossom packed enough power to split mountains.
Where the sword petals struck the waves, they shattered into countless sparkling water droplets. Under the moonlight, they glistened with rainbow hues and created the illusion of a crystalline rain.
Seeing that, Poseidon muttered incantations under his breath, and his trident glowed brighter with each passing moment.
In the blink of an eye, the torn sea began to swirl back together to form ferocious water dragons that lunged at Dustin with bared fangs and claws.
But Dustin stood unfazed. The true energy in his body surged wildly and formed a massive white shield that enveloped him.
The water dragons crashed against the shield heavily. The impact sent shockwaves of energy rippling outward.
Warrick and the others, already wary of the danger, quickly retreated. They feared they might get caught in the crossfire.
The battle between the two ultimate grandmasters was far beyond their ability to interfere. Even the residual energy was lethal, especially in their wounded state.
One misstep and the aftershocks alone could kill them.
“Is this what a battle between ultimate grandmasters looks like? It’s terrifying.”
Warrick and the others watched from a distance. They couldn’t hide their shock.
A fight between two ultimate grandmasters was an extraordinary sight. They had never witnessed anything like it. Every clash and blow was thrilling and awe -inspiring.
Suddenly, Dustin’s body shook as an overwhelming surge of true energy erupted from within him. The surrounding water dragons, fierce and menacing moments ago, were shattered into pieces and dissolved into droplets.
He shot forward like a cannonball and tore through layers of blue energy waves before striking down at Poseidon. The sword blazed with blinding light as if it could tear the sky apart.
Poseidon quickly raised his trident to block, and a water-blue shield formed around his body.
The two weapons collided, unleashing a blinding flash of light and a thunderous boom. A powerful wave of energy blasted outward in all directions.
For a moment, the area within a 300-foot radius was engulfed in a roaring wind, flying sand, and stones. The ocean surged and created towering waves as tall as 30 feet. It was like a massive wall crashing down.
Warrick and the others were stunned, and their bodies trembled uncontrollably. Even from a distance, the sheer destructive force of the battle made their hearts pound with fear.
“Come on!”
Dustin and Poseidon rebounded from their last clash, only to charge at each other again without hesitation.
They continued to trade blows with relentless intensity. Neither could gain the upper hand, and their battle locked in a fierce stalemate.
