Jared followed Ezio and Mia to the large tree, but to his surprise, no one was there.
“D*mn it! Could Gordon have lied to us?” Ezio cursed upon seeing no one under the large tree.
“I don’t think so. He gave me his jade pendant. Besides, doing so wouldn’t benefit him in the slightest!” Jared replied with a shake of his head.
Just then, a faint cry for help suddenly rang out.
“Help…”
It was barely audible, and Jared might not have heard it at all if it weren’t for his exceptional hearing.
“Someone is crying out for help.”
Jared glanced at the direction of the cry, instantly unleashing his spiritual sense.
“Where? Why don’t I hear it?”
“I don’t hear it either.”
Both Ezio and Mia shook their heads, denying that they had heard anything.

In truth, they had both been salivating over her beauty for a long time.
