Jared had no idea where Infinides was leading him, so he could only follow along.
When they arrived at the foot of a towering mountain, Infinides casually waved his hand, and in an instant, a portal of light appeared before them.
The moment Jared stepped through the portal, he was completely stunned. Right before his eyes, nestled within the mountain, was an actual city!
The city was home to Demonic Cultivators-each one of them saved by Infinides.
As soon as Infinides arrived, countless Demonic Cultivators rushed forward to greet him. To them, he was their savior.
“Abbot Infinides, did… you really save all these demonic cultivators?” Jared asked in astonishment.
“Indeed.” Infinides nodded. “All of them were fugitives, and I gave them sanctuary.”
Jared felt a surge of emotion, his admiration for Infinides growing even deeper.
“Mr. Chance!” a sudden voice called out to Jared.
Startled, Jared turned his head. When he saw the person who had called him, he was instantly taken aback, his eyes filled with disbelief. “Mr. Soulton? What are you doing here?” Jared asked, bewildered.
The one calling out to him was none other than Hanes, the overlord of Soulless Hall-someone who had betrayed the Demon Seal Alliance.
Hanes had been following Jared for a while. Jared had arranged for them to stay in Blood Spirit Valley, along with Igor, Montane Daemon, and the others.
After all, in Montane Daemon’s domain, the influence of the Demon Seal Alliance was weakest, and the area was full of Demonic Cultivators. It was the perfect place for Soulless Hall to stay hidden from the Demon Seal Alliance’s pursuit.
But if Hanes was here now, did that mean Blood Spirit Valley had also come under attack from the Demon-Seal Alliance?
Everyone in Blood Spirit Valley was one of Jared’s trusted allies. If the Demon Seal Alliance dared to lay a hand on them, Jared wouldn’t hesitate to wipe the entire alliance off the map.
“Mr. Chance,” Hanes said, “I was also hunted down by members of the Demon Seal Alliance. Fortunately, Abbot Infinides saved me, and that’s how I ended up here.”
Jared’s expression turned grave. “What about Blood Spirit Valley, Mr. Lothian, and Mr. Daemon?” he asked urgently.
“Don’t worry, Mr. Chance,” Hanes reassured him. “I was just running an errand when the Demon Seal Alliance found me. They started chasing me, but Abbot Infinides saved me and brought me here. As for Blood Spirit Valley, it should still be safe. The Demon Seal Alliance doesn’t have enough power to reach Montane Daemon yet.”
Jared let out a sigh of relief. “Good. In a few days, I’ll take you back to Blood Spirit Valley myself.”
“Mr. Chance, this place is actually quite nice. I don’t want to go back. Even though the Demon Seal Alliance can’t reach Montane Daemon for now, it’s only a matter of time before they do. I feel safer here,” Hanes admitted.
Jared gave him a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry. In a few days, the Demon Seal Alliance will be gone. You won’t have to live in hiding anymore.”
Hanes looked at him in shock. “The Demon Seal Alliance… has been destroyed?”
“Not yet,” Jared replied, “but it’s about to be. I’m going to wipe them out in the next couple of days.”
Hanes stared at him, clearly unconvinced. “Mr. Chance,” he said cautiously, “your power has grown rapidly, and you’ve reached Ultimate Realm Level Two… but destroying the entire Demon Seal Alliance won’t be easy.
He continued, “Even if we set aside Talcott, the leader of the Demon Seal Alliance, you have to consider the forces backing them. When I was held captive by them, I overheard whispers about the terrifying power supporting them from the shadows.”
Hanes had no idea that the real power behind the Demon Seal Alliance was the Tenth Hall. Given his status, it was likely he didn’t even know what the Tenth Hall was.
Jared gave him a confident look. “I know exactly who’s behind them,” he assured him. “And when the time comes, I’ll wipe them out too.” He patted Hanes on the shoulder with a reassuring smile.
Hanes looked at Jared, then at Infinides, as if realizing something. “If Abbot Infinides were to help, then… maybe there’s actually a chance to eliminate the Demon Seal Alliance,” he murmured.
