Upon seeing the situation, Talcott mustered his strength to get up. He quietly pulled out his item pouch and tossed it at Jared’s feet as well.
It seemed like he was perhaps hoping that Jared would spare him too!
Gazing at the scattered item pouches on the ground, Jared waved his hand dismissively. “Get lost…”
“Thank you for sparing my life, Mr. Chance!”
The elder and the Demon Seal Alliance cultivators repeatedly expressed their gratitude, then promptly turned and ran.
Without uttering a word, Talcott turned around, ready to depart as well.
“Did I give you permission to leave?” Jared said coldly.
Talcott managed to squeeze out a small smile. “Mr. Chance, Sir Chance, please spare me. I’m done being the leader of the Demon Seal Alliance, and I refuse to be a lackey for the Tenth Hall any longer. In the future, I’ll find a place to focus on my cultivation and refrain from committing any more harmful deeds. I beg for your mercy.”
At that moment, Talcott, the leader of the Demon Seal Alliance, was desperately pleading with Jared for mercy.
The villagers of Rock Village had long grown accustomed to such a spectacle and no longer felt the initial shock they once did.
“Calm down, I didn’t say I was going to kill you. However, I do need you to take me to the Tenth Hall,” Jared stated.
“No, no, the Demon Seal Alliance is gone now. I wouldn’t even have time to run, let alone go to the Tenth Hall. That would just be offering myself up to be killed!”
Talcott was repeatedly waving his hands in refusal.
“If you don’t take me with you, I’ll kill you where you stand!” Jared threatened with a sneer.
Talcott shuddered all over. Nonetheless, he could only nod and say, “All right, I’ll take you there…”
Jared left all the item pouches from the Demon Seal Alliance for the Rock Village villagers. Then, he gently patted Emily and Percy on their heads, saying, “You two should focus on your cultivation. These resources should be enough for Rock Village for quite some time. Given the chance, I’ll visit again to see you all.”
“Mr. Chance, you can rest easy. When the time comes, just wait for us in the celestial realm.
We will surely ascend to it!” Percy declared with great confidence.
“All right, I’ll be waiting for you there!” Jared said with a subtle smile.
After all, Percy was still young and had no real understanding of the hardships associated with cultivation. Ascending to the celestial realm was incredibly challenging!
Certain prestigious clans and sects, despite exhausting all their resources, might still fail to nurture a cultivator capable of ascending to the celestial realm!
With just these resources alone, aspiring to ascend to the celestial realm was nothing short of a pipe dream for the villagers!
However, Jared did not intend to shatter their confidence. Once people gained confidence, they could accomplish tasks much faster!
After bidding farewell to the people of Rock Village, Jared, along with Orion and the others, followed Talcott to the headquarters of the Demon Seal Alliance.
In order to gain entry into the Tenth Hall, they had to access it through a hidden chamber in the headquarters of the Demon Seal Alliance.
At the Tenth Hall, Tennyson was seated in the main hall, his eyes slightly closed as if he was deep in thought about something.
Behind him stood a cultivator with a dark complexion and a long beard. His eyes were deep, and with his hands rested on his hips, he almost seemed like some sort of celestial being.
On either side of the main hall, ten figures clad in black robes and helmets stood. These ten individuals concealed their presence so well, it was as if they didn’t exist at all!
“Father, I heard that the Demon Seal Alliance has been destroyed. That was a force we, the Tenth Hall, painstakingly nurtured, intended for our domination over the entire Ethereal Realm. Who exactly is so audacious to dare challenge us, the Tenth Hall?”
Decanus injuries had significantly improved, and he hurriedly approached the main hall to inquire about the matter.
Tennyson waved his hand and spoke. “Don’t concern yourself with this anymore. Go back and focus on your recovery. From now on, you don’t need to meddle in the affairs of the Tenth Hall!”
“Father, the Tenth Hall is in danger! How could I possibly stand by and do nothing?”
Decanus refused to leave!
Hum!
Just as the words had barely left his lips, a sudden humming echoed throughout the entire hall. The next moment, the heavy doors of the main hall were instantly split open right down the middle!
Boom!
The doors collapsed, and Jared, accompanied by Orion and the others, slowly made their way inside.
