An Understated Dominance Chapter 2390 by Marina Vittori

When the spectators heard the match was about to begin, the excitement reached a fever pitch. Half of them cheered for Fenley while the other half chanted Glenn’s name.

Both were the Chosen Ones, and their popularity was undeniable. Everyone had been waiting for their face-off in the battle ring.

Though Fenley ranked slightly below Glenn on the Legendary List, his fame and influence as the successor to the Celestial Alliance’s guildmaster outshined Glenn’s. Ultimately, the question of who was stronger could only be answered in the ring.

“I’ve been waiting for this day, Glenn.” Fenley stared at him intently. His voice was powerful and commanding.

He continued, “Others say I’m not your equal, but I refuse to believe it. Today, we’ll find out whether your sword is faster or if my Four Elements of God’s Technique is superior.”

“The moment you said that, you’ve already lost. Your doubt shows you lack the confidence to defeat me,” Glenn replied calmly. If this were a fight-to- the-death match, his opponent would already be dead.

“Hmph! Enough with the nonsense! Today, you’ll witness the true power of my Four Elements of God’s Technique.”

With a shudder, Fenley’s internal energy burst forth. Behind him, a massive ethereal divine spirit materialized that radiated an intimidating presence.

Unlike before, he was going all out without the slightest restraint. At that instant, he stood like a force of nature

-commanding and unstoppable.

“Bring it on,” Glenn said impassively and pointed his sword finger skyward.

The sword case on his back trembled, and a silver sword shot up like a shooting star piercing the night sky.

“Attack!”

Without hesitation, Glenn raised his sword finger. The sword in the sky instantly shot forward and transformed into a blinding streak of silver light aimed straight at Fenley.

The sword sliced through the air like a lightning bolt and had a terrifying power. Wherever the tip passed, the air warped, and a thunderous roar followed.

“Fury of Wind God!” Seeing the imminent danger, Fenley didn’t dare to hold back and unleashed his signature move.

He raised both hands and struck at the incoming silver light. The ethereal divine spirit behind him mirrored his every movement.

With a roar, the wind whipped into a frenzy, and the ground beneath them trembled. A torrent of wind blades poured down like a relentless rain. They filled the air like an unending storm of slicing fury.

The wind blades crashed against the silver sword, and each impact echoed like thunder. But strangely, the silver sword showed no signs of giving way as it continued its relentless dive. With unstoppable force, it shattered every wind blade in its path.

“Huh?” Fenley’s pupils constricted in alarm. He knew Glenn’s sword was formidable, but he hadn’t expected it to strike with such ferocity.

The wind blades he conjured from his internal energy were ineffective against the relentless onslaught, like moths drawn to a flame.

Just as the silver sword descended upon him, Fenley shouted and raised his hands before slapping them together.

The ethereal divine spirit behind him mirrored his movements. It spread its arms as if to swat a pesky mosquito before clamping down on the sword.

A thunderous boom erupted, and the air rippled as energy radiated outward.

The once unstoppable silver sword was now clamped between the spirit’s palms. It rumbled and vibrated with raw power as it pushed forward despite the spirit’s firm grip. Though its speed had slowed, the sword’s relentless force shocked Fenley.

His face turned solemn as he poured every ounce of strength into trying to stop the silver sword. He knew that if he couldn’t withstand this first strike, the match would end before it began.

“Get down here!” Fenley roared as he controlled the ethereal divine spirit behind him. The spirit gripped the silver sword firmly and slammed it to the ground.

With a thunderous crash, the hard surface of the battle ring cracked under the impact, leaving a nine feet wide imprint in the ground. The sword’s momentum finally faltered, and its silver glow flickered as it lay still in the crater.

Fenley exhaled sharply and was surprised by the sheer power of Glenn’s first strike.

“Go, Green Fang!” Glenn raised his sword finger.

A green sword shot out from the case with lightning speed and rocketed toward Fenley. Though its speed wasn’t as blinding as the silver sword, its power was even more intimidating.

Wherever the sword passed, the temperature dropped sharply, and frost began to form on the ground beneath it as if infused with an elemental force.

“Fury of Fire God!” Fenley roared. The ethereal divine spirit behind him instantly flared crimson, sending searing heat waves across the venue.

With fists blazing like fire, he punched at the green sword. The spirit mirrored his movements, and a giant fiery fist slammed into the sword.

A thunderous explosion shook the ground as energy waves surged in all directions. The clash of fire and ice erupted into a terrifying shockwave that rattled the battle ring’s protective

barrier.

Oron had anticipated this and immediately channeled true energy into the enchantment circle to stabilize it.

When Fenley’s fists collided with the green sword, the sword was knocked back while he stumbled backward. His body was momentarily thrown off balance as his energy flow was disrupted.

But before he could regain his footing, Glenn attacked again. “Go, Red Tempest!” He raised one hand, and his sword finger pointed toward the sky.

A red sword shot into the air, spinning swiftly before hurtling toward Fenley. It cut through the air with a trailing storm of flames like a raging fire dragon unleashed with an overwhelming power.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
