An Understated Dominance Chapter 2424 by Marina Vittori

Willard’s ultimate move cleared the battlefield in an instant. The martial artists who had rushed forward were either dead or critically wounded, with no ability to defend themselves.

“This… How is this possible?” Hank’s eyes widened in terror as cold sweat beaded on his forehead.

Under the restriction of the sealing formation, even ultimate grandmasters couldn’t unleash their full strength.

But Willard, with nothing more than a flask of liquor, had managed to tap into a supreme divine power far beyond his cultivation level.

Though he was only at the grandmaster level, his move, Infinite Spirit Manifestation, carried the might of an ultimate grandmaster. If he were to use it again, the outcome would be grim for everyone, including himself.

“Retract!” Willard took a deep breath and the thousands of illusory images that had surged forth earlier instantly retracted into his body. His face turned red and pale as his breath grew heavy and ragged.

The toll of using Infinite Spirit Manifestation was unmistakable. With his cultivation sealed, executing such an attack once had already pushed him to the limit.

Only a handful of martial artists, including Hank and the six black men, still had the strength to fight. In total, barely a dozen remained standing.

The six men in black-the strongest among the group-were fully engaged by Dustin and couldn’t spare any hands to help. As for the rest, only Hank posed a genuine threat. The others were paralyzed by fear and dared not approach.

“Hank, if you know what’s good for you, retreat now. Otherwise, you’ll end up like these corpses,” Willard said coldly.

His strength, stamina, and focus were rapidly draining. If the fight continued, it might not end in his favor. His only hope now was to intimidate Hank into retreating.

“Mr. Styles, what should we do? Should we retreat for now?” Garrett clutched his chest in panic.

They had arrived with over a hundred men, but now most of them were either dead or critically wounded. At that instant, Garrett had lost his will to fight.

“What are you panicking for? Willard just exhausted his supreme divine power and is barely hanging on. Don’t let him intimidate you.” Hank frowned, and his eyes locked on Willard.

He could tell Willard had overexerted himself with that last move. Otherwise, he would’ve pressed the attack instead of trying to intimidate them.

“That may be true, but we’ve already lost most of our men. If we keep fighting, we’ll only suffer more casualties. Maybe we should retreat and plan our next move?” Garrett said tentatively.

“Plan? Damn you!” Hank exploded and slapped Garrett hard across the face. ” This mission is do or die. Anyone who dares retreat has only one outcome- death!”

At this point, he knew there was no way out. If they retreated now, they would be executed by Bailey upon their return. Rather than live in disgrace as a deserter, he would rather stake everything in this final fight.

With that thought, Hank pulled out two vials of enhanced serum and tossed one to Garrett. “Drink this. It’ll greatly enhance your physical abilities and boost your combat power. I’ve worked hard to get this, and now I’m giving one to you.”

“Thank you, Mr. Styles!” Garrett’s face lit up with relief as he took the vial.

The vial in his hands was an S-grade enhanced serum. It was ten times better than the A-grade one he had used before. With such a treasure in hand, his confidence was instantly restored.

“If we don’t complete this mission today, we will both die. So, let’s give it everything we’ve got.”

Hank unscrewed the vial without hesitation and drank it in one gulp. He had already consumed one earlier, and a second dose could cause his body to explode. But he had no time to worry about that. His only options now were victory or death.

“Attack!” Feeling the power surge inside him, Hank wasted no time and charged forward with his blade.

Tonight, he would either emerge victorious or die trying.

Outside the main hall of Sacred Wrym Summit, hundreds of elite martial artists relentlessly battered the mountain protective array. A continuous barrage of attacks rocked the air, with explosions echoing nonstop.

The once-impregnable barrier was weakening under the continuous onslaught. It was clear the array wouldn’t hold much longer.

Inside the hall, the elites of Sacred Wrym Summit stood ready for the impending clash.

Oron burst into the room and reported, “Kaden, the mountain protection array is about to break. We only have half an hour left.”

“It’s fine. Let them through,” Kaden said impassively. “Order the disciples to set up twelve small formations. We’ll turn defense into offense and ensure these invaders don’t leave here alive.”

“Understood!” Oron responded and quickly left.

Moments later, the mountain protective array suddenly vanished.

With the barrier down, the forces of the Hall of Gods hesitated briefly before charging forward, their battle cries ringing in the distance. A wave of elites brandished their weapons and charged through the hall’s main entrance.

“Slay the demons!

“Kill them!”

The defenders of Sacred Wrym Summit had been waiting for this moment. As the enemy forces stormed through the main entrance, over a hundred Sacred Wrym Summit’s elite martial artists swiftly formed defensive formations and launched their counterattack.

The air was filled with the deafening sounds of battle-war cries, agonized screams, and the explosive crashes of weapons clashing. The first full-scale clash between Sacred Wrym Summit and the Hall of Gods had begun.

Bailey observed the fight unfolding in the distance from atop a building at Sacred Wrym Summit. He had no intention of intervening.

His goal was more than just the destruction of Sacred Wrym Summit.

He was there to eliminate Arion, the number-one martial artist in the martial world. As the greatest martial artist in Dragonmarsh, Arion posed a serious threat to the Streuquan.

If Arion fell, the martial world in Dragonmarsh would descend into chaos. It would be the perfect opportunity for the Hall of Gods to strike from every direction and cripple the nation.

It was a strategy that could accomplish two objectives at once. Now, all that was needed was for Arion to make an appearance. Once he did, Bailey would rally his forces to eliminate the greatest threat to their power.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
