An Understated Dominance Chapter 2514 by Marina Vittori

Poseidon hovered in the air with his trident in one hand and radiated a commanding presence. He stood like a god, and his figure was so intimidating that it struck fear into those who beheld him.

With a wave of his hand, an invisible energy struck Warrick and expelled the three silver needles from his body.

Feeling sensation returned to his limbs, Warrick’s face lit up. He quickly rose to his feet and clenched his fist to his chest in salute.

“Thank you, Lord Poseidon, for saving me. I will never forget this kindness!” he said.

“No need for formalities, Sir Prescott. Now that you’ve pledged yourself to the Hall of Gods, it’s only natural that I ensure your safety,” Poseidon replied with a faint smile as he descended gracefully.

“Your timely arrival was a blessing,” Warrick said as he bowed his head slightly in deference. “Otherwise, we would have perished tonight.”

The Hall of Gods’ royal gods were figures he could only look up to. Everything about Poseidon, from his power to his position, was on a level far beyond anything Warrick could hope to match. But what truly commanded his awe was Poseidon’s strength.

When Poseidon appeared, it was as if a god had descended to earth and effortlessly crushed Dustin within seconds. Such terrifying cultivation surpassed even, Warrick’s wildest imagination.

“That man’s skills were mediocre at best,” Poseidon remarked coolly. “How did you all end up in such a sorry state?”

Warrick and Mulder exchanged uneasy glances upon hearing that. They had just faced an ultimate grandmaster-an opponent of unimaginable power. How could they possibly stand up to that? Only someone like Poseidon, a royal god, could have crushed Dustin effortlessly.

“The ship is anchored ten nautical miles from here,” Poseidon said. “If you’re ready, follow me.”

He then raised his trident and tapped it against the ground.

At that instant, something strange happened.

A ripple of water rose beneath Warrick and the others as though some unseen force was guiding it. It lifted them and carried them toward the sea.

“What kind of supreme divine power is this?” Warrick’s eyes widened in astonishment.

The water beneath his feet felt soft yet firm, like walking on a floating carpet. It was far more wondrous than riding a boat.

“Did I say you could leave?”

Just as Warrick and the others were about to leave on the waves, a sudden voice rang out from behind.

“Hmm?” Poseidon frowned slightly and turned to look.

From the massive crater left by the impact, a figure slowly emerged-it was Dustin.

“This kid is still alive?” Warrick’s face twisted in shock.

“He’s got some serious endurance.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t stand a chance against Lord Poseidon.” Mulder scoffed after a brief moment of surprise.

He had to admit that Dustin was formidable. In his early 20s, Dustin had already earned a reputation as an ultimate grandmaster, a feat that commanded respect wherever he went.

But despite his strength, he was still too young. Against a battle-hardened ultimate grandmaster like Poseidon, Dustin was simply outmatched.

“Young man, if you’d stayed low and played dead, you might have lived another day.” Poseidon shook his head.

His gaze was cold, like he was already looking at a corpse. “But since you insist on throwing your life away, don’t blame me for what happens next.”

Dustin dusted his clothes off and stepped out of the crater with a piercing gaze. “Play dead? You’re not even worth it.”

“Ignorant fool.” Poseidon sneered and pointed a finger at him.

A thick water serpent materialized out of nowhere. It hissed and lunged at Dustin with explosive speed.

“Just a petty trick.”

Dustin sneered and stood his ground without moving an inch. He used his hand like a sword to slash at the incoming water serpent in the air.

A flash of white light cut through the serpent and split it in half. It turned into seawater and vanished without a trace.

Poseidon raised an eyebrow and looked mildly surprised. His water serpent attack had only used less than a tenth of his full strength.

For most grandmaster martial artists, it would have been a deadly strike. But Dustin had effortlessly countered it, and Poseidon acknowledged his high cultivation.

“Who are you? Tell me your name,” he said coolly.

Normally, he wouldn’t bother asking since insignificant ants were meant to be crushed underfoot. But Dustin’s strength had piqued his interest.

Mulder quickly answered, “Lord Poseidon, he is Prince Logan, the Crown Prince of West Lucozia.”

“Logan Rhys?” Poseidon’s face broke into a smile. “That’s great! I’ve been searching high and low for him, and now he’s right before me. What a pleasant surprise tonight. It’s like the gods are smiling on me.”

Logan had already been marked as a major threat by the Hall of Gods-one of the key targets they needed to eliminate.

Initially, they would have needed a detailed plan and plenty of resources to deal with him. But now, with Logan standing right in front of Poseidon, all that preparation had become unnecessary.

Killing Logan would take out a major threat to the Hall of Gods, and opportunities like this didn’t come around often. Poseidon wasn’t about to let this one slip away.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
