An Understated Dominance Chapter 2518 by Marina Vittori

Poseidon scoffed. “You’re so full of yourself.”

The surrounding seawater surged violently. It transformed into countless razor-sharp water spikes and whistled toward Dustin.

The deadly edges glinted under the sunlight. Like a silver rainstorm, the barrage swallowed every inch of space around him. 3

Dustin’s sharp gaze locked onto the incoming strikes. With a light swing of the Celestial Blade, a streak of black sword aura shot out. Every water spike in its path shattered into mist and rained down in a cascade of droplets.

However, Poseidon refused to relent. His attacks came in endless waves, an unbroken torrent.

He gripped his trident with both hands and spun it, creating several blue energy rings. Each one expanded rapidly and surged toward Dustin like crashing waves.

Dustin’s figure flickered and vanished from his spot. The next second, he reappeared just outside the energy rings.

Hovering in midair, he spun at incredible speed. The Celestial Blade in his hand turned into a black cyclone, churning the surrounding seawater into chaos.

“Come on, Poseidon. Is that the best you can do?” he taunted.

With a powerful thrust of his blade, a beam of black sword aura rushed toward Poseidon with the force of a world-ending storm.

Poseidon’s expression turned grim. He gripped his trident with both hands and channeled all his energy into its tip as he braced for Dustin’s incoming strike.

There was a deafening boom, and the world seemed to tremble.

When the sword aura collided with the trident, a blinding explosion lit up the area. It was so intense that everyone had to shield their eyes.

A shockwave of raw energy burst from the collision, sending waves over 100 feet into the air. The seawater parted and left a path of emptiness behind.

Warrick and the others watched the battle unfold from a distance. Awe and fear gripped their hearts.

The display of sheer power was unlike anything they had ever witnessed. It was like the end of the world was fast approaching.

“The fight between ultimate grandmasters is terrifying,” Warrick said, his voice trembling. His face was filled with terror.

Mulder and the others were equally shaken. In the face of such overwhelming power, they felt utterly insignificant, as if they could be crushed at any moment.

Dustin and Poseidon clashed relentlessly inside the swirling maelstrom of energy.

Poseidon used the sea to his advantage, drawing an endless flow of energy. His attacks grew fiercer with each strike, which carried the force of a tidal wave.

In contrast, Dustin relied on the razor-sharp edge of the Celestial Blade and his immense strength. As he weaved through Poseidon’s onslaught, he waited for the right moment to strike.

The two were evenly matched, as neither could gain the upper hand after a fierce and punishing exchange.

Gradually, Dustin noticed several shallow cuts on his skin, and blood began to stain his clothes. Though the wounds weren’t severe, they proved that Poseidon’s continuous attacks were beginning to wear him down.

But Poseidon wasn’t unscathed, either. There was a deep gash cut across his arm from where Dustin’s Celestial Blade had struck. The blood that spilled from the wound was a shocking shade of blue. 2

“This is the end for you, Logan!” Poseidon roared.

He raised his trident, and the sea began to churn violently around him. The water coalesced into a massive blue dragon. It roared, baring its fangs and claws, then lunged toward Dustin.

Dustin took a deep breath and focused all his strength on the Celestial Blade. His gaze was firm and resolute. At that instant, it was as if his will and the blade had become one.

“Sevenbane Slash!” he shouted.

His Celestial Blade erupted in blinding light, and a massive shadow of black sword aura shot into the sky. It slammed into the water dragon with terrifying force.

When the two collided, a thunderous roar filled the air. The impact sent the sea into turmoil and raised towering waves soaring 300 feet high. The air seemed to fracture, with dark fissures spider-webbing through reality.

Poseidon was hurled backward and crashed into the sea with a big splash.

Meanwhile, Dustin was knocked back over 30 feet, and his face was pale from the shock.

At that moment, the sea churned violently in front of him.

Poseidon, who had fallen to the bottom of the sea, slowly resurfaced, and his body floated lifelessly. Three was a bloody fist -sized hole between his chest and abdomen, with blue blood spilling out in steady streams. It stained the sea surface in an unnatural shade of blue.

“Is it over?” Dustin narrowed his eyes, but his expression quickly darkened.

His strike had landed a heavy blow on Poseidon, but it hadn’t killed him.

What was worse, Poseidon’s injured body was already beginning to heal. The gaping wound was closing before Dustin’s eyes. It was as if the sea itself was nourishing his recovery and restoring his strength with every passing second.

“This bastard is a real pain in the ass,”

Dustin muttered, his face turning grim.

He knew that only one decisive strike could end this fight.

As long as Poseidon remained in the water, he could keep replenishing his strength, no matter how much damage he took or how much energy he spent. After all, the sea was his limitless source of power.

If this dragged on, Dustin knew the consequences would be disastrous.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
