Jared glanced at the mountain, only to notice that the place was not remote or secluded. How could no one have discovered a celestial crystal vein mine here?
“It’s not that hard to find this place. Why had no one discovered it yet?” Jared asked in perplexity.
“You’ll know once we get there,” Elena answered with a slight smile.
Her smile gave Jared an instantaneous feeling of being bathed in the warmth of a spring breeze.
At the side, Ezio instantly started drooling.
“Ezio, look at yourself. Don’t you find it embarrassing?” Mia hissed with great distaste as she looked at her brother.
“Don’t bother about me. You should worry about Jared instead. He’s chatting with another girl right in front of you!” Ezio countered.
Upset, Mia no longer bothered about him as there was nothing she could do about him anyway.
Half an hour later, they finally reached the mountaintop. Right before them was a vast abyss.
However, there were no signs of any celestial crystal vein mine. Otherwise, Jared would have sensed it since the spiritual energy within celestial crystals was different from that within ordinary spiritual stones.
“It doesn’t seem like there’s any celestial crystal vein mine here, right?” Jared asked, looking at Elena with a puzzled expression.
“Come with me.”
After Elena had said that, she surprisingly leaped down the abyss.
Upon seeing that, Jared and the others followed suit. Even though it was an abyss, it wasn’t frightening at all to cultivators like them who had already mastered the art of flight.
As everyone was rapidly plummeting, the mouth of a cave soon appeared on the cliff face. It was narrow and could only accommodate one person at a time.
Elena stopped and went into the cave.
Jared and the others companions did the same, one by one. No sooner had Jared entered the cave than he immediately sensed the aura of celestial crystals.
The cave was engulfed in darkness, so he promptly conjured a ball of internal flame in his palm, illuminating the surroundings.
After venturing some distance deeper, they were greeted by the sight of scattered celestial crystals embedded in the surrounding rock walls.
Although it didn’t seem like much, the place could already be considered a vein mine, considering the fact that one could spend ages searching without finding a single celestial crystal out there.
“So many celestial crystals! So much money!”
When Ezio saw the celestial crystals all around the, he became somewhat frenzied and hastily began prying at them with his hands.
However, it was as though they were inlaid into the rock walls. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t pry even a single celestial crystal loose.
“This rock wall is incredibly hard. Extracting the celestial crystals takes time and consumes a significant amount of spiritual energy,” Elena hurriedly explained upon seeing that.
If simple prying could yield a celestial crystal, Gordon and Elena would have likely already amassed a ton of them.
Jared spotted a celestial crystal the size of a fist and proceeded to walk up to it. Internal flame blazed from his palm, and he began searing the rock wall.
Following that, he pried it with his hand, and the celestial crystal fell out.
“The rock wall is averse to fire?” Elena immediately asked in astonishment upon witnessing that scene.
Gordon and I only managed to obtain a few after exerting tremendous effort before taking them to Beast City to be sold, and Gordon even got arrested!
Jared nodded. “After being seared by the flames, the rock wall would become less hard, making the extraction of celestial crystals easier.”
Subsequently, he asked, “Does anyone else know about this vein mine?”
“No. Only my brother and I knew about it. And now, you guys do too,” Elena answered with a shake of her head.
Jared looked at the celestial crystals in the cave. He knew that it would take an eternity to fully mine all of them with their combined efforts alone.
I’ve got to find someone to collaborate with now.
It’ll be a win-win collaboration. But who exactly could mine celestial crystals?
