As soon as Corrado finished speaking, he appeared right in front of Jared, not giving him the slightest chance to react!
Corrado reached out toward Jared’s arm. If he grabbed hold, Jared’s arm would be crippled for sure!
Jared instinctively threw a punch to block. He absolutely couldn’t let Corrado destroy his arm!
The moment Jared’s fist was about to land, Corrado suddenly froze as if he had seen a ghost. He stood there, completely stunned, his outstretched hand hovering in midair, unmoving.

Jared’s punch struck Corrado squarely, forcing him back three steps!
Jared frowned in confusion. What is going on? Why had Corrado suddenly stopped?

After a brief moment of shock, Corrado suddenly dropped to his knees before Jared. Jared was so startled that he took a step back.
No matter what, Corrado was still his future father-in-law. Why was he kneeling like this all of a sudden?
“My Lord, greetings. My name is Corrado Lantz!”
Corrado lowered his head and bowed to Jared.
Jared froze, then quickly glanced at the Dragon Ring on his hand.
“You’re one of Dragon Sect’s regiment?” Jared asked.
“Yes, I am a regiment under Dragon Sect. My Lord, I didn’t recognize you and have offended you greatly. Please forgive me!”
Corrado remained kneeling, his body trembling slightly.
“You weren’t aware of the truth. Get up now.”
Jared hurriedly helped Corrado to his feet.
Inside, Jared was overwhelmed with excitement. He never imagined that Twilight Imperial City was under his own command!
“My Lord, please take a seat. I will brew some coffee for you at once!”
Corrado led Jared to the throne and personally prepared coffee for him.
“Don’t call me ‘My Lord’. I don’t want my identity known. Just call me by my name,” Jared said.
Jared didn’t want others to find out that he was the overlord of Dragon Sect.
“I wouldn’t dare. Then I shall call you Mr. Chance,” Corrado said respectfully.
He didn’t dare address Jared by the name directly.
“Suit yourself,” Jared replied, nodding as he took in the grand, gold-adorned palace around him. Then he asked, “Tell me, how strong is Twilight Imperial City within the Ethereal Realm? Can you handle the Tenth Hall?”
The Tenth Hall had been causing Jared trouble for a while, and he had long wanted to wipe them out.
Corrado explained, “Taking down the Tenth Hall would be easy, but behind them stands the Celestial Palace, and behind the Celestial Palace are the celestials. If we were to go up against the Celestial Palace, Twilight Imperial City wouldn’t stand a chance. But rest assured, Mr. Chance. As far as I know, only the Tenth Hall exists in the Ethereal Realm.
The other divisions of the Celestial Palace are in other realms, though I don’t know exactly where. So even if we destroy the Tenth Hall, it would be difficult for the Celestial Palace to interfere.”
He added, “In the Ethereal Realm, Twilight Imperial City ranks among the top three in power. I personally know several of the five governors. We’re old acquaintances. But the Celestial Stairway is about to appear soon. No one knows how many Ethereal Realm cultivators have survived in that realm. Anyone who has managed to endure there for a hundred years will have terrifying strength. Those people remain an unknown factor.”
“Top three in the Ethereal Realm?” Jared mused with a smirk. This meant he could dominate the realm without fear!
“By the way, there are many exiled celestials trapped in the Ethereal Realm. Compared to you, how strong are they?” Jared asked.
“Those celestials have been trapped here, their strength suppressed and constantly deteriorating. They haven’t been able to cultivate for thousands of years.
