Clang!
Tennyson watched as Jared approached him. With a swift raise of his arm, he blocked him, creating a clear, crisp sound.
Tennyson’s arm was brutally slashed, revealing the stark white of his bone.
At that moment, an overwhelming force surged, propelling Jared’s body a hundred yards back in an instant.
“How dare you mess with Tenth Hall?”
With a rather displeased expression, Seren grumbled.
As Jared stared at Seren, his brows furrowed. This guy, with his ability to decipher the art of divination, is somewhat troublesome!
Suddenly, Seren’s figure gave a slight tremble, vanishing in an instant, only to reappear before Jared in the next moment.
Upon seeing the situation, Jared felt a chill run down his spine. D*mn! he’s way too fast!
Before Jared could even react, suddenly, a figure emerged, blocking Seren.
Boom!
Accompanied by a thunderous noise, Seren staggered backward.
“Mr. Patel, are you truly going to meddle in affairs not your own?” Seren inquired frostily.
“This is my business. How could it be considered meddling?”
Solomon chuckled lightly.
“You should understand that Celestial Palace’s influence spans across the entire cosmos; even the celestial realm is not beyond our reach. Are you truly prepared to oppose us? Once you ascend to the celestial realm, you’ll be nothing more than an ant before Celestial Palace. We could easily crush you if we wished!” Seren threatened Solomon.
“I’m not even sure if I can ascend to the celestial realm, but even if I do make it there, with my son-in-law looking out for me, what’s there to fear?”
Solomon glanced at Jared, speaking with a face full of satisfaction.
Jared was momentarily speechless. What on earth is going on? He even addressed me as his son-in-law!
I was just ensuring Yelena was safe and held her close. How did we suddenly become a pair?
Yelena’s face flushed with embarrassment as she quickly clarified, “Mr. Chance and I are merely partners. He provides the financial support, and I contribute the effort, nothing more than that…”
“If you’re merely in a professional relationship, then don’t wade into this murky mess. Celestial Palace is not to be trifled with. I can take you away right now! Whatever resources you need, just let me know. I’ll provide them for you!”
Solomon spoke, ready to lead Yelena away.
“Darn it…”
Upon seeing this, Jared was at a loss for words. Wasn’t this coercion?
Yelena was taken aback, hurriedly freeing herself from Solomon’s grasp, stammering, “I… 1…”
“Mr. Patel, even though we’re just in a professional relationship, I did hug Ms. Hans earlier. That could be considered as some sort of intimate contact. If Ms. Hans isn’t repulsed and is willing to come with me, I really wouldn’t mind…”
Jared couldn’t let the governor of the northern region just walk away. After all, he had plenty of women already. Adding one more wouldn’t make a difference.
“Jared, you seem quite pleased with your decision, but what about my sister? Abbot Infinides played matchmaker for you two, and you both agreed to it. You can’t just abandon the old for the new, can you?”
Fraser had had enough. He marched over, his face clouded with anger.
“Fraser, I have many girlfriends now, and many of them are actually already my wives. Lina knows all about this. She won’t mind!”
Jared hurriedly relayed the truth to Fraser.
“You have a lot of women?” Fraser looked at Jared, his eyes filled with admiration.
“It’s quite normal for a man of his stature to have multiple wives. Given his status and background, it wouldn’t matter even if he had a few more. How many women, including my daughter, are you involved with now?” Solomon asked.
Jared fell into deep thought, starting to count on his fingers.
Upon witnessing the situation, Fraser and Solomon were utterly flabbergasted.
“Jared, what are you doing? Just how many women do you have?” Fraser asked, feeling dumbfounded.
“Over ten? More than twenty? I’ve lost count myself…” Jared said with a hint of embarrassment.
Jared had merely spent a night with some women and then they parted ways. He barely had any recollection of them.
Just like the Seizon sisters, Miya and Livya, Jared had been with them too. Back then, it was nothing more than a desire for Jared’s lineage.
As for this, whether they could be considered his women or not, Jared was unsure.
